I was sick last week and given we had not finished unpacking after our interstate move, I had NO clue where my usual lurgy warding off herbs and supplements were. So I popped into my local health food store to get some trusty zinc and vitamin C and the huge wall of supplements they had stocked was SO OVERWHELMING (and I’ve done a whole degree on it!).
It got me thinking about how lucky we are in 2025 to have SO many products and health information at our finger tips, whether that be from AI, google, social media - the information is endless.
On the flip side - there is more information than you could ever know what to do with and discerning what is and is not the right information for you is the really tricky part. I have no doubt that you could find a conflicting opinion, study and 'truth' about every single bit of health advice or product available. You could very easily drive yourself crazy, make your health worse and waste countless $$$ trying to take it all on board.
Not all of the health information on the internet is meant for you, and no bit of information is meant for everyone.
ALSO what might be right for you at one point in your life, may not be relevant or helpful for you in another.
This is what qualified practitioners are trained to do. We are trained to understand and know what health advice is relevant for YOU at this particular POINT IN TIME. This means that under the guidance of a professional, you know where you can best spend your time, energy and money to improve your life and your health. It also means you can effectively alter and change this over time to suit your current needs.
IN A NUTSHELL
☀ Google knows everything but it probably doesn’t know best.
☀ Get professional guidance, it's more expensive than google in the short term, but with a personalised approach that creates great results, it will be worth it in the long run.
☀ Your health deserves better than a one size fits everyone (but also no one) approach.
